The culmination of German democracy
The Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany is a historic masterpiece. It has guaranteed us peace, stability, and the rule of law for decades. But the constitution fathers of Herrenchiemsee explicitly planned the Basic Law of 1949 as a Provisional – a transitional document until the national unity of Germany.
With the reunification in 1990, the historic moment arrived. But instead of giving the sovereign – the German people – the opportunity to give themselves a constitution in free decision, the Basic Law was merely spatially extended. The great promise written into Article 146 of the Basic Law to the German people remained unfulfilled to this day. VisionDeutschland will fulfill this promise.

A new constitution cannot be dictated by politicians in back rooms. It must grow from the middle of society. VisionDeutschland proposes a legally binding, three-stage path that guarantees maximum participation of citizens:
The constitutional dialogue
Calling of randomly drawn, representative citizen councils throughout the entire country. They gather the most pressing questions of our time: direct democracy, sovereignty, limits on power, and social basic rights.
The assembly
Election of a constitution-making assembly, consisting of constitutional lawyers, representatives of the citizen councils, and elected delegates. They shape the ideas of the people into a legally watertight constitutional draft.
The people's decision
The final step: The sovereign decides. The constitutional draft is presented to the entire German people for a vote. Only an absolute majority of citizens can make it legally binding.
VisionDeutschland distances itself in every way from revisionist ideologies ("Reichsbürger" or similar). The initiation of a new constitution according to Art. 146 GG is not an act of overthrow, but the path intended by the constitution maker himself for the rule‑of‑law development. This process takes place exclusively on the foundation of the liberal‑democratic basic order (FdGO). The replacement of the Basic Law only occurs at the moment of democratic ratification of a new, human‑rights‑based constitution by the German people.
