The Self-Determination Act is an important issue that splits society. \"VisionDeutschland\" stands for the free development of personality, but we also see the dangers of the current law. We want a solution that respects the rights of transsexuals while preventing abuse.
Our approach: Clear criteria
A gender change on the ID must not be a mere administrative act. We demand substance and seriousness.
Complete transition
A change of the gender entry should only be possible after a complete gender transition. This ensures that the decision is based on a lasting and profound life change.
- Medical interventions: Performing necessary surgical procedures.
- Hormonal treatment: Proof of a stable medication adjustment.
Psychological assessment
Before a gender change, a qualified psychological assessment must take place. The goal is to ensure that the affected person is actually transsexual and not acting on other motives or temporary impulses.
Protection of women and children
Preservation of Safe Spaces
We consistently prevent men from abusing the law to gain access to protected women's spaces. Biological boundaries must be respected where safety and privacy are at risk.

Children and adolescents are in a sensitive developmental phase. We want to support them in having natural experiences and discovering who they truly are, without the pressure of irreversible legal or medical decisions.

Given the far-reaching nature of this decision, we set a clear age limit. Only upon reaching adulthood and the associated maturity should such a fundamental change be possible.
