Strengthen Families

Families are the backbone of our society. They carry the future within them and deserve our full support. Therefore, we want to significantly relieve families in Germany tax-wise. Specifically, this means:

• Significant Reduction of the Tax Rate: The general tax rate for low earners will be lowered to 17%. Families with children benefit even more and will only pay 10% tax.
• More net from gross: With the tax cuts, families keep more money from their hard‑earned wages. They have more financial freedom to provide their children with a good life, invest in education, and share beautiful moments together.
• Strengthening purchasing power: More money in families also means more purchasing power. It stimulates the economy, boosts consumption, and creates new jobs. A win for everyone!

Social Justice

• Tax cuts for families strengthen social justice.
• Families with children have higher expenses and should therefore also be tax relieved.
• Additionally: We want a tax system that takes performance fairness into account and supports families with children more.

Every child is a gift and has the right to the best possible support. We want children in Germany to grow up carefree and develop their talents. For that we make a clear statement:

• Child benefit up: We increase child benefit significantly – by at least 33%! This is a tangible support for families and shows how important children are to us.
• More opportunities for all: A higher child benefit financially relieves families and allows them to offer their children more – from healthy nutrition and good education to leisure activities and hobbies.
• Investment in the future: Child benefit is not "pocket money", but an investment in the future of our society. Well‑educated and happy children are the foundation for a successful and future‑proof Germany.

Early childhood education – The key to success

The first years of life are crucial for a child's development. Therefore, we want to strengthen early childhood education and give every child the best possible start in life. Specifically, this means:

• Expansion of child care: We are massively investing in the expansion of kindergartens and daycares. We want every child to get a care place and be supported by qualified teachers.
• Promotion of early childhood development: We support programs that promote children's linguistic, motor, and social development. These include, for example, playgroups, music schools, and early childhood support programs.
• Educational equity: We want all children to have equal opportunities for education, regardless of their background or parents' income. Therefore, we are committed to free kindergartens and early support for children from disadvantaged families.

The first years of a child's life are formative for their entire development. During this time, the foundations for the future are set. We want to give parents the opportunity to spend this valuable time intensively with their children and support them in their development.

Parental Allowance – More Financial Freedom

• Parental Allowance Plus: We increase the parental allowance by at least 11%! This gives parents more financial security and allows them to stay at home longer.
• Flexibility for the Family: We want to make the parental allowance more flexible so that parents can tailor parental leave to their individual needs.
• Partnership Childcare: The parental allowance should enable both parents to actively participate in childcare.

• Work–Family Balance: A higher and more flexible parental allowance makes it easier for parents to balance family and work.
• Relief for families: Parental allowance helps families cope with the financial challenges of the first years of life.
• Appreciation for parents: A higher parental allowance is an expression of appreciation for the important role parents play.

Strengthen parent-child bond

• Parental allowance strengthens the bond between parents and children and promotes early childhood development.
• A strong bond with parents is the foundation for a healthy and happy life.
• Additionally: We want to support parents in their parenting responsibilities and provide them with the necessary resources.

Additional measures

• More flexible work models: We promote part-time models, home office, and flexible working hours so that parents can better balance work and family.
• We want parents to be able to pursue their professional goals without neglecting their family.
• Additionally: We are committed to a family-friendly work culture that takes into account the needs of parents.
• Expansion of child care: We are massively investing in the expansion of kindergartens and daycares.
• We are creating enough care places so that all children have the chance for good early childhood education.
• Additionally: We want to improve the quality of child care and strengthen the training of teachers and caregivers.

Family support package

We are creating a comprehensive family support package with additional services and offers for families. This includes, for example, financial subsidies for family holidays, support for family education centers, and assistance for families in crisis.

Additionally: We want to support families in all life situations and provide them with a strong network.

Justification of the model

This time model takes into account various factors:

• Speed: Fast and tangible signals through child benefit and parental allowance.
• Sustainability: Tax reforms and working time models need time for socially compatible design.
• Long-term perspective: The expansion of daycare requires continuous investment.
